So far, I am very pleased.. My only complaint is that the sound quality of the
first few tracks on the first cd are not very good.

I was really ready to like this product, because the book is charming, and the
presentation of concepts is good. It appears quite kid-friendly. However, the
sound quality is the pits. It sounds like an old inferior analog recording put
straight over to disk. My opinion is that this is a defective product.

Nice product, but tracts 4-11 on disc one have terrible sound quality. I don't
know if this was a problem with just my copy, but the publisher refused to
replace it, and exchage time had expired on Amazon. Beware.

I am a certified teacher, and I am starting a business teaching the Spanish
language to homeschooled children for children ages 4 and up. I bought this
because I was looking for help developing my curriculum. This set has a lot of
fun and easy teaching ideas that can be adapted to many kinds of vocabulary
words and levels.
However, I dont like having the parent/instructor's guide on a CD. They should
have made the guide as a separate book. It would make life a little easier,
especially if you want to quickly look up an activity to do.

We enjoyed the first couple of lessons, and I was really excited about these cds.
Unfortunately, the sound became almost completely incomprehensible after the
first few lessons, sounding almost like a robotic or synthesized voice. I see
other reviews that complain about this, too, so purchase this at your own risk.
It's hard to imagine that a company would ship so many defective cds, especially
cds where sound quality and comprehension are the most important aspects!

I purchased this set for our five year old daughter. She as "studied" Spanish a
bit in her Montessori pre-school program (songs, counting, very simple stuff)
and I thought this might be a good was to encourage her to pick up as much
Spanish as possible at an early age.
At first I was very happy with the set. The workbook is very colorful and
engaging. The CD audio lessons are fun and fairly logically organized. There are
one or two songs per lesson that make it fun for children and keep them
interested.
However -- somewhere around lesson 3 the audio quality deteriorated
dramatically. It sounds as if the CD was copied off of a warped cassette tape or
something. It is not totally incomprehensible, but it is hard to listen to. I
don't understand this, especially since the first couple lessons were fine.
We're going to try a few more lessons and see if the sound returns to normal --
if not, I may have to return this.

I bought this to use with my four to seven year old Spanish class. I didn't use
it because I didn't feel it was clearly and concisely introducing words or
phrases - it seems a little confusing for that age group.
I do like the bright colors and that there are CD's with the set, as well as the
songs (which REALLY help little kids learn a second language.) As a parent and
teacher, I just wish it was a little less jumbled in the lessons...Not a lot of
writing to do - just reading and listening. For something more interactive, try
Flip Flop Spanish, which comes with a CD, or just get some board books in
Spanish by Boynton or Wemberley. Ana Lomba has good products as well.

We bought this course for our 4 year old daughter. I already speak Spanish
fluently and my husband is a native speaker. However, we really don't speak
Spanish around our daughter as mush as we should, so we bought Spanish for
Children for her. I am really glad that we did. It has turned out to be an
excellent choice.
Our daughter loves the games and the songs. And the narrator apparently works
very well with kids. The only reason why I am not giving Spanish for Children 5
stars is because the author failed to release a Spanish for Children Part II.

I bought this set for my 5 year-old and 8 year-old. For the most part, they and
I like it, but I must admit it takes a wee bit of getting used to. You won't be
able to just put the tape on and walk away with this set, you'll need to sit
with your kids and go through it together. But if you're willing to do that
you'll reap some very real benefits, and your kids will too!

This is a great set to introduce Spanish to young kids. I have been using it
with my four year old with great success. The book and cassette compliment each
other well and really hold his attention. Each chapter contains several simple
yet creative games to help reinforce the vocabulary and phrases being taught and
ends with an on-going story in the form of a cartoon. I enjoy the program too!

This is a wonderful program that I have successfully used with children from
kindergarten through grade three. The kids love the songs and games. It's lively
and a lot of fun. Just what learning should be!

This is a great way to introduce your children (and yourself) to Spanish. The
book is colorful with lots of songs and games. The cassette recordings are very
clear and the instructor is warm and cheerful. My 5-year-old daughter and I
absolutely loved this! The only problem is, now that we have finished it we are
looking for the next step. Highly recommended. P.S. My daughter often serenades
us in the morning with her Spanish songs.
