  • 59 full-page illustrations, alphabetically organized
  • Culturally appropriate subjects, such as labandera, showing the flags of Spain and Mexico or l'immeuble, showing a typical Parisian apartment building.
  • A glossary featuring translations and a pronunciation guide
  • A review puzzle to test how much has been learned

The books in the Let's Learn Coloring Book series are a great resource for parents, teachers, and care-givers who want to foster a love of language in children, and a valuable tool for reinforcing at home the language study kids get in school.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Fun to color, ages pre-k through 2nd
My younger students enjoy getting this as a prize upon an achievement of some sort. The pictures are easy to recognize and interesting enough to hold the attentions of 4 year old through 7 year olds. The only downfall is that there is no phonetic spelling, so students who are just beginning may learn the pronunciation incorrectly if a Spanish speaker is not around to help. Otherwise, a good product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun pictures!, February 13, 2002

I use this coloring book with my first grade students. It has a very simple vocabulary which is appropriate for this age level. The pictures to color are in large print and easy to color. I teach a letter of the alphabet each time along with them coloring a picture. The students are learning the vocabulary very easily and enjoying coloring too. This is well worth the cost.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - -Baby words, great drawings
I love the 4 drawings for the seasons, which are hard to explain to some students. The sun and moon pages are great too. I wish that some of the words less common. Like papa is a bit boring.

Nice to color

4.0 out of 5 stars Let's Learn Spanish Coloring Book, December 6, 2000

This book provides several pictures for each letter of the alphabet. The Spanish word or words are written in bold print. Most of the pictures are large and simple but some of the pictures have small detail which make it difficult for little hands to color. This book is a good supplement for children learning Spanish. However, if you do not speak Spanish it might be difficult to determine from a few of the pictures what the Spanish word means.
