5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME BOOK!, July 25, 2007

There are many beautiful pictures for each word. Their is also a seek game in it too. The side white pictures can be found in the main huge picture. Even the number of the pages are in Spanish.

There are verbs but they are not conjugated so in order to learn them that would need to be known or able to be taught.

This book is bright, colorful, and fun!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars From a Spanish teacher, GREAT supplement to any Spanish curriculum, November 4, 2008

This keeps my students' interests, from ages 3 to 18! There are phrases and nouns, as well as the English translation, so the child that is already reading doesn't have to guess at what the picture means.

The colorful pages are set up thematically, which is great, and my students can immediately use the words they learn and sound out. I would caution though - there is no phonetic spelling with the words. So many students will sound out the words incorrectly. If you're unsure of pronunciation, you may want to supplement with a CD, or another book that does contain phonetic spelling.

As a reference book that boosts vocabulary, this is quite good, and teaches words that are used frequently.
