This book has TONS of vocab that is hard to find elsewhere. The software is a
great way to practice, plus you can create your own flashcards with the
software. I love this book!!

Only had time to browse through it, but I think it will help with my Spanish
lessons.

I found the included CD very helpful in learning the words. I'm more of an
old-fashioned learner and like flashcards. The "flashcards" on the CD were
annoying at first, but then I realized I was remembering the word more often
because of the program's constant repeating. I highly recommend this product to
people who need to build their Spanish vocabulary or just refresh it.

Any book with this many Spanish words is good if not great. I haven't gone
through the entire book, but I like its format and if has some errors so be it.
I have the Compete Unabridged English/Spanish Oxford Dictionary and it has about
37 definitions for the verb "Sacar." The word you're sure is wrong might be
correct in Spain, Ecuador, Argentina or Peru. Who knows? I wrote this before
looking at the CD, so I count comment on it, but book is good enough without it.
Anything on the CD is a bonus.

I haven't had this book long, but it organizes related words together and then
uses some of the words in example sentences--with the English definitions of the
words and sentences. It covers all kinds of important topical words in Spanish.
The only thing it doesn't do is give the pronunciation for the words. Though
most words in Spanish are easy to pronunciate, I still ocassionally need to look
up the pronunciation of a word and for that I mainly use Barron's (pocket
edition) of Spanish vocabulary. It has more than 6,000 words and expressions.
Another FAVORITE resource of mine is the Larousse Spanish English Student
dictionary. Though this STUDENT version has less words than larger dictionaries,
it still has the most common...AND...it includes the words in sentences (in
English and Spanish)to give examples of usage. This dictionary is very PLEASING
to read...the layout is pretty and easy-to-read...not like a lot of
dictionaries. But remember, it is Just the STUDENT version that is set up like
this.

This book is fantastic. It is organized in a way that you can quickly review a
page or little section each day to really learn your vocabulary quickly and
easily. I leave this book on my nightstand, and every night before I turn off
the light, I go through a page, memorizing the whichever words are new to me (or
not as familiar as they should be).
Also, this book comes with a CD that has flashcard software on it. For the low
price of this book, the flashcard software alone is worth the price. You can ADD
words to the computerized flashcards -- heck, you can even use the flashcards
for subjects other than Spanish!
This book and its CD are worth their weight in gold.
